Salt Lake City

The boys got in plenty of time with Grandpa Hawkins.

The boys loved playing at the park, just minutes from my parents' house. We even walked a few times and Xhaiden learned that running down a big hill can be dangerous, hence the mark on his poor nose.

We went to the aquarium with grandma, grandpa and cousins Brynn and Mia.

Grandma and Grandpa were late so Xac and I went to a chocolate shop while Xhaiden slept in the car.

I made a cheesecake for all the family.

The boys enjoyed all the oreos in grandma's pantry.

Xhaiden was eating a lot, I swear he is taller than before we left.

Here is the view outside my parents' house. There were quite a few storms there.

For our very first Monday in Salt Lake, we went to Frogurt for family home evening. This restaurant was very cool, you get to serve yourself frozen yogurt and whatever toppings you want for 39 cents an ounce. The boys wanted cookies and cream yogurt. Xac chose marshmallows and sprinkles for his toppings, while Xhaiden chose oreos and m&m's. My strawberry on strawberry with some Kit-Kat was very delicious. After he ate his treat, Xac was thrilled to find two other boys to play with. As always, he needs no introduction. They were racing to pick up a stuffed monkey they were throwing and he was quick to join in the fun. Here he is as they call 'ready, set go!'

Meanwhile Jimmy was living it up in Pennsylvania with his new friend Dr. Evil. He became an expert on Porsche 914 transmission repairs, and visited New Jersey so they could make a movie on the subject, starring Dr. Evil. He went to many states that week, and got a map of West Virginia for me. We joked that now I can check it online to see if it is accurate. Then it was off to Vegas and Arizona to get together with more friends from the 914 online forums. They all had their cars and went driving on some twisty roads. We were glad to have a place to stay while he was gone.

It was so fun to see you! I'll bet the boys are glad to be home, though. Wish you could come for Sunday dinner each week.
