Well duh.
We were at CRC (Xac's preschool for now and Xhaiden's next year) and the gal was giving Xac some blocks and a small bowl. She asked him "Can you put some of the blocks in here?", pointing to the bowl. He made a tower in the bowl. Then she pointed to another spot on the table and asked "Can you put some of the blocks here for me?". He moved the bowl over to that spot. She said "you are smart, you little stinker!" Then she expressed to me that she would like to work with him more often because she wants to figure out just what is going on in his little head.
In other news, I had previously taught Xac how to add by using circles on a whiteboard. He can draw seven circles, then nine circles and come up with nineteen. Yesterday we tried subtraction by drawing x number of circles and then erasing how ever many. He has it down pretty nicely, and last night we ventured into multiplication. Using all 4 of our hands we discoverd that four fours makes 16, and four fives makes 20. We're on the road to learning, and he is enjoying the journey. To add to that my mom sent three books with patterns, etc. for him to work on. I have never seen him so engaged in a book. My boy is thirsty for knowledge, so it's up to me to keep up the supply. We're very excited for him to begin kindergarten next fall.
