Here's what we've been up to:
The last few weeks have been busy. I've been working full-time, Xac has kindergarten, Xhaiden has preschool, Jim's been busy trying to heal while he maintains his normally busy routine. We got a vinyl cutter, so we can make our Christmas presents this year. Jim has also been busy trying to mill. He spent two hours yesterday in the freezing cold shop - maybe more? trying to get the new heater to work.
Xac is loving kindergarten, he appreciates the structure and the chance to grow. He is talking more than ever, and they assure us he is pretty darn smart. All the teachers seem to get a kick out of him. They are always telling us stories of funny things he did. His kindergarten teacher told me one day she had to lecture them about a mess the boys made in the bathroom together. When she was all done, he said "Miss Wise, I like you."
Xhaiden surprised me this year. When we went to his preschool registration he went up to his new teacher and gave her a humongous leg-hug. I was shocked. She tried to ask me several questions about how I thought he would behave during preschool and all I could say was "Your guess is as good as mine."
I am told December usually slows down and I am somewhat looking forward to it. If someone is looking for a job, the work itself is rather fun.
We have had a good Thanksgiving with cousins and friends. There were a few spots of sad news about people in our community, but we still had fun. Jim's sister was in town and we had fun with her. Connie took pictures of all the grandchildren, and they had fun playing at the church together, in-between shots.
